Tag Tutorial

I design for Shabby Cottage Studio and just created these decorator tags....

It began this simple project with blue tags, flowers, and seam binding, all available from Shabby Cottage Studio.

First, I stamped the tags with this stamp...(Made by Stampabilities--from my own stash.)

I used this ink to ink the edges of the graphics from Shabby Cottage Studio.

You can catch a glimpse of the edges stamped...

But, my tags weren't done...

I added glue and then "frosted" them with German glitter glass...

Here are my finished tags....

I think you'll have fun making these....

I know that I did....

Thank you for visiting my tutorial...and if you need anything, just hop over to Shabby Cottage Studio!!!

XO
Cindy

  4. What a great tutorial, Cindy. They are just beautiful. There is something about the 2nd one that makes me think of SweetCheeks all grown up. The set of the eyes, maybe~ You did a wonderful job on them. xo Diana

  5. Adorable...and so easy, too. i'm definitely bookmarking this under "crafts" :) :) That last tag is especially enchanting because it looks that like veil on the lady's head is about to float off the tag ;) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

  15. Oh my gosh, Cindy! These are beautiful! I don't think I've seen them in blue like this and they are stunning!

I also thnk you for your tutorials. It's time consuming enough to get projects done, do all of your other life tasks (like writing books, stocking an Esty Store, and all of the other things you do ~ are you sure you don't have any fairies working for you!? he he he!) But, here you are, taking time to teach us in the tutorials. Thank you so much!

Make I ask the different between German Glitter Glass, Diamond Dust and Glitters?

    Thanks Cindy!

    Blessings,
    Donna

  16. Cindy, you have a way of making me like even Victorian things which you know I'm not that crazy about. You are amazingly talented. LOVE the blue tags.
Yesterday I went to Michael's for some goodies and I searched for scripted paper forever but they were out. This stamping idea is perfect!!
How did you apply the glue and what type did you use for frosting with the glitter?
